Mr. South Okanagan Toy Run - Roy Colmer
For six years, Roy Colmer has been the OMRA South Okanagan Toy Run guru.
This volunteer job includes (and I’ll probably forget something) arranging parade permits, contacting different town authorities, department of highways, involved police forces, sponsors, and arranging raffle items, coordinating with the Lions Club to provide breakfast and lunch in the park, and last but not least, leading the Toy Run in front of Santa.
We go on the ride in support and for the joy of giving to those who may have gone without, during Christmas, if not for the donations this Toy Run brings. We have an easy job of giving money or gifts for our donation, and I for one have never thought about all the hard work and dedication that Mr. Toy Run does behind the scenes.
So…it is with colossal gratitude, and kudos to Roy Colmer for his constant, consistent dedication and hard work, to bring the South Okanagan Toy Run to fruition for another year!
Bye the way….me thinks that behind every good man, there is a great woman…that of course would be Roy’s wife, Joanne Colmer!
So, Mr. Toy Run, thank you for another great chance to give to those in need!
Photos and video to follow in the next few days. Thank you in advance for anyone sending me pics and vid! Email me at email@example.com
