Below is an actual add posting in the UT newspaper. So funny, we just had to list it here.

06' Suzuki GSXR 1000 $10,000  Farmington, UT 84025 - Aug 7, 2006

2006 Suzuki 1000. This bike is perfect! It has 1000 miles and has had its 500 mile dealer service. (Expensive) It's been adult ridden, all wheels have always been on the ground. I use it as a cruiser/commuter. I'm selling  it because it was purchased without proper consent of a Loving wife. Apparently "Do whatever the Hell you want" Doesn't mean what I thought. Call me, Steve...

A number of motorcycle manufacturers, both large and small, issued recall notices with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Consumer Product Safety Commission in May.

Honda is recalling the 2008 CBR1000RR due to a problem with the sportbike’s coolant hose. The hose clamp located on the water pump may become weakened by vibrations from high engine speeds. If the clamp breaks, hot coolant may spray onto the rider’s leg and cause scalding.

Honda dealers will install new coolant hose clamps at no charge. The recall affects 12,894 motorcycles.

Ducati is recalling the 2010 Streetfighter and several 2008 sportbikes due to potential fuel leakage issues. The plastic fitting between the fuel injector and hose on the new Streetfighter and Streetfighter S, as well as 2009 1098R, 1198, 1198S and 848 sportbikes may warp or break.

An estimated 1,549 motorcycles are subject to this recall. Ducati dealers will replace the affected injector components at no charge.

Ducati is also recalling 2008 Desmosedici RR motorcycles due to improper wire routing. During quality control testing, Ducati determined the main wiring harness may be routed incorrectly. Damage to the harness may lead to an unexpected loss of engine performance.

Potentially 396 of the race replica motorcycle may be affected by the recall. Dealers will inspect, reposition and refasten the main wiring harness on affected bikes to the frame at no charge.

Big Dog Motorcycles is recalling 2005 Ridgeback choppers due to a problem with their rear wheels. The wheels, made by R.C. Components of Bowling Green, Ky, may have weak spots in the design which may cause the wheel to crack under certain conditions.

Owners are advised to bring their 2005 Ridgebacks to a Big Dog dealer for inspection. Big Dog will replace rear wheels with signs of cracking. If no signs of cracking are found, owners will be advised to return to the dealer every 2,500 miles for further free inspections. Potentially 1,257 motorcycles are affected by this issue.

Chinese manufacturer Qingqi is recalling 2008 Zap Xebra motorcycles because they require longer stopping distances than specified under federal motor vehicle safety standard No. 122. In tests conducted by an outside laboratory for the NHTSA, the Zap Xebra failed to stop within 54 feet from a speed of 30 mph.

The 738 affected motorcycles were produced between Jan. 1, 2008 and Dec. 31, 2008. The third-party laboratory is still conducting tests to determine how to address the problem.

KTM issued a recall notice with the CPSC on several off-road motorcycles. The front fork inner tube on 2009 125SX, 150SX, 250XC-W and 300XC-W motorcycles can crack and separate from the axle.

Owners of the estimated 550 affected motorcycles are asked to contact KTM at (888) 985-6090 or visit http://www.ktmnorthamerica.com/.
